Creating passive income opportunities is a great way to make extra money and can be relatively easy if you know where to start. So, what is passive income, and how do you create a secondary source of income for you and your family?

Passive income is the ability to make money on a regular basis with little effort required to maintain it. These are basically coined as "assets" by those in the financial world. They are things you own that make you money. Sounds like an easy way to make some extra money from the definition, but making a passive income from your assets requires little bit of effort at first.

I currently own two websites Financial Freedom Informant and a fitness website Extreme Fitness Now. Both of these websites earn me a passive income every day. Websites are only one type of passive income. Some other examples of passive income are:

Reall Estate and rental from property

Royalities from publishing book, song lyrics, patents

Dividends and interest from owning sercurities - stock & bonds

Website advertising

Pensions

whichever you choose, make sure it is something you are passionate about. If you are not passionate about it, you will not take care of it and are more likely to give up.

Why I like Websites as a Passive Income Opportunity

I have particiapated in most of the above passive income sources. I am a landlord. I make dividends from stocks and bonds. I also sell song lyrics and music. But by far the easiest way for me to earn a passive income is through my websites.

Initially, websites do take a lot of time to set up. You cannot become a millionaire over night no matter what anyone tries to sell you. Anyone that says you can make $10,000 in one week is trying to sell you a scam. A website is a business and must be built like one.

The good part about building a website is that once it is built and running, it can help make you a decent income with little effort. Right now, I put only minor effort into maintaining my fitness website and it continuously makes me hundreds of dollars a month through adsense, click bank, infolinks, and a few other affiliate programs.

With adsense you need to spend time in setting up your website and promoting it well. After you get your traffic to start building, you will have very little to do on a daily basis. You should just make sure that your website’s ranking does not drop and traffic stays consistent. In other systems, you can automate the entire process so that the efforts required at a later stage are much less than when you started.

The most difficutl part of creating passive income is often finding the best home business. But once you find your online opportunity, things will start falling into place with diligent efforts.

How to create passive income opportunities can be daunting for beginners when they do not have the right information. Most do not know where to start and where to look for the needed information.
