How Adsense works depends on the type of user you are. There are two kind of users that participate in the Google Adsense program they are:

► Website owners (publishers) - They participate in Google Adsense by putting Ads served by Google on their web pages.

A website owner has the option to choose various customization options. So you control and blend the Ads according to the look of your website.

► Advertisers - They use Google Adwords program to advertise their Ads on the content pages of the websites and blogs that participate in Google Adsense Program as well as ads displayed through Google Search.

Advertisers can select which websites they want their Ads to show on.

And there is a third kind of users - website visitors! They visit your site, see relevant Google`s Ads and click on them. And Google shares a percentage of the cost of that click with you.

Now, here are some valuable Adsense tips for you as the potential website owner in order to know how AdSense works better:

● Due to extremely sophisticated programs and some of the smartest minds on earth that Google use, never, never try to play dirty games with them. You will never trick AdSense. On the contrary, you will be kicked out.

● Ads must attract your visitors, so leave enough space around them.

● Your content pages should be clearly focused. This way, Google will be able to serve highly relevant ads to your visitors. All this results in a higher CTR (click through rates). And you earn more! (If you think your website is of poor quality content, place the Ads before the start of the content. It works better for CTR).

● Display ads on a lot of pages. The more pages you have displaying ads, the more money you'll earn.

But if you are selling products, keep in mind that you can and should treat your pages as different categories: pages for selling products should be designed to sell specific products and still others can be designed to rank high in the search engines, while the bulk of pages can be designed for Google AdSense.

● Do not use the banner format. Results are consistently better when users use the vertical format (skyscraper), leaderboard format or the Rectangles.

● You'll earn more if the average ad that Google displays pays more per click, so make use of higher paying keywords.

But do not make a big mistake here - don’t add content pages about irrelevant keywords to your site just because they are high paying.

I mean, just don't create a page on 'freedom' on your Car spare parts site just because 'freedom' pays more than 'car spare parts.' Instead look for high paying keywords targeted around the theme of your site.

● If you`re going to create a brand new website to take advantage of Google AdSense, select a topic with high paying keywords.
