You basically buy a currency and sell it for a profit. The most common currency paris traded are: Eur/Usd, Gbp/Usd, Usd/Jpy and Usd/Chf. When taking a position in the Forex market, you buy or sell a certain unit of currency called “lot”. For example buying 1 lot of Eur/Usd means that you are buying 100,000units of Euro. If you buy Eur/Usd at 1.4550 and it appreciates to 1.4580, it means that you have pocketed 30 pips or $300. Not bad for a days work? How do you get started with Forex Trading?
