Below is a list of the easiest ways to save money. Are you doing some of them? Probably. Are you doing ALL of them? Probably not. So take a look at the list to find some more creative and easy ways to save money month to month on grocery bills, home bills, auto insurance, and just saving money in general.

Easiest Ways to Save Money - Seriously

Get a Coffe Maker. If you already have one, use it. Making coffee for yourself in the morning can save you over $100/month if you purchase coffee every morning. Buying a $9 bag of ground Starbucks is enough to make you coffee every morning for a few weeks to a month depending on how much you drink. Get a to go mug and save.

Cook at Home. You'll pay anywhere from $15-$40 for a 12oz steak at a restaraunt. The higher end places don't even come with sides. So for $15, go out an buy a nice steak for both you and your significant other and still have change left in your pocket for veggies and potatoes.

Split Your Plate. If you insist on going out, one of the easiest ways to save moneu is to split your plate. Most restaraunts give you a hefty portion. No one should be eating 12oz or 1lb of steak anyway. Split it and save your self a lot of money.

Take Lunch to Work. This honestly helped save me and my significant other lots of money a week. I was spending $25 a week on lunch alone at work. I now take that $25 and buy meat to make my own sandwiches. I find $25 can buy a lot of lunch meat, fruit and snacks for both of us.

Buy in Bulk. If you can, join a wholesale store such as Costco or BJs or buy Big Buy Values. The larger a container of something the bigger. Buying a 3lb container of oatmeal is MUCH cheaper than buying individual packets. Even buying meat in bulk and freezing it will save you lots at the grocery store.

Grocery Shop on a Timer. When you are in a rush to get in and get out you are more likely to get only the things you need. Making a list before you leave is also a great way to save time and really keep away from impulse items.

Avoid Late Fees. Late fees are a million dollar industry. Credit and loan companies love late fees because it's free money. Do not give away your money for free. Pay your bills on time. Write due dates on a calendar to help you remember.

Reuse Shopping Bags. If you have a small barrel in an office or bathroom, use your old shopping bags as trash bags instead of buying them at the store.

Buy Milk at a Convenience Store. Most convenience stores around me tend to tell milk $2 cheaper than at the super market. I drink about a gallon a week to this saves me almost $10/month.

Avoid ATM fees. At $1-$2 a wack these can add up over time. Avoid them at all costs.

Get Rid of Your land Line. One of the easiest ways to save money on your home bills. Land lines are becoming more and more extinct with the use of cells phones. And customers with DSL do not need a phone connection to still get the internet. This saved my $20/ month easy.

Buy Used. With Amazon, Ebay, Craigslist, etc., it's easy to find what you are looking for used. Most of the times these items are barely even used. So if you want to read a book or buy a movie, pay half price for it somewhere. Don't forget your local libraries as well.

Get a Brita. Not only is it environmentally friendly, bottling your own water will save you so much money month to month.

Keep You Car...Longer. Most people trade in their car and buy a new own before their loan if paid off or soon there after. Try keeping you car a few years longer than you probably want to. You will save on monthly car payments as well as lower excise taxes.

Buy Your Car Used. A car depreciates the most it's first 2-3 years. Buying a car 2 years old can save you thousands of dollars. Finding a slightly older model with low mileage is a steal.

Your Electrical Items. Another one of the easier ways to save money is to unplug eletrical items not in use. unplug your hair dryer, lamps, the toaster. Even though items are off, they still use eletricity. I keep items like the TV plugged in.

Think Green. Trying to reduce your use of certain items like napkins, paper towles, electricity, and gas can help you save a lot of money. Riding your bike to work, or try carpooling with co-workers if you can. Walk to the corner store and use dress warmer instead of useing the heat.

Kind Your Distance From Lavish Friends. It's easier to be frugal when you surround yourself with like minded people. Going with your friend to the expensive furniture or clothing store is going to really test your self restraint.

Meet Friends for Lunch. One of the easiest ways to save money without ruining your friendships is to go for lunch instead of dinner. Lunch tends to costs much less at places. Some even have smaller portion lunch size options. You'll save money and your friend will still get to enjoy your company.

Plan Vacations Ahead of Time. Vacations are part of our sanity. Planning vacations last minute can cost you a lot of extra money. Doing research in finding cheaper hotels, flights, and other accomodations can help soften the blow of a vacation. Remember to check out close to home options to save on travel.
