Y2K Issues - The abbreviation used to refer to the Year 2000 computer problems resulting from the use of two-digit year inputs. Left uncorrected, computers would have recognized the input 00 to mean 1900 and not 2000.

Year-end - Relating to the end of a financial or fiscal (tax) year.

Yield - A percentage of the amount invested that is the annual income from an investment.

Yield to Maturity - The discount rate that equates the present value of interest payments and redemption value with the present price of the bond.
