Never choose any adult topics as you will not get your adsense account approved for adult content websites.

You need to promote your website online and only when it is well promoted it will attract good traffic. Good traffic to your website would mean good adsense revenue. If your earning per month is less than $100, then it will be carried over to the following month until your earnings reach $100.
