1. What is Google AdSense?
A way for webmasters to display relevant ads on their sites and earn online.
2. Are there any fees to join the program?No.
3. Is it legal?
Absolutely.
4. How much will I earn?
It all depends on your site`s traffic number and how targeted the traffic is.
5. How much time I will need to spend?
It is all up to you. The more time you spend, the more and sooner you`ll start
getting money.
6. I am not an US resident. Can I still join?
Everybody on earth can yoin.
7. Do I need to have a website?
Yes. If you don`t have it,
now it`s the time to make a perfect site or you can sign up for a free blog.
8. Is there any age limit to join the AdSense Program?
You must have at least 18 years. Otherwise, one of your parents or a guardian
must submit an application using their name. He will also be the reciever of all
payments.
9. How can I check my earnings?
Just by logging in to your account and viewing the Reports tab.
10. Are there any taxes to pay?
For US residents definitely yes. If you are from elsewhere, check with a
Certified Public Accountant in your country.
11. Are there any restrictions regards my site`s content?
Yes. No pornography, illicit drugs, violence, hacking content, gambling content,
promotion of illegal activity, manipulative content to improve your site`s
search engine ranking. The list is much longer, consult
Adsense Program Policies.
12. How long does it take to get paid?
Whenever you have more than $100 in your AdSense account, Google mails you a
check at the end of the month.
13. Are there any specific conditions in promoting my site?
Yes. See and follow the
Terms of Service.
14. Will my account be terminated if I will not generate enough clicks?
It was never done, although they reserve this right in their
Terms of Service.
15. Can I change my payee information?
No. But you can cancel your account and get a new one.
16. Can I decide which ads will appear on my site?
No, but the more your pages will be specific the more specific will be also the
ads. If you will be talking about Fishing with keywords on Fishing, then the ads
will be about Fishing.
17. Where does the money come from?
Advertisers who are affiliated with AdWords pay for the ads appearing on the
pages of AdSense publishers.
18. Can I use AdSense for an adult site?
No.
19. Can I click on my own ads?
Never do this for any reason.
20. What happens if I accidentally click my own ad?
You should email AdSense team and explain the situation.
21. Can I click AdSense ads on the other people’s websites?
Yes.
22. Is Adsense allowed for commercial sites?
Yes.
23. What does CPC and CPM mean?
CPC ( Cost Per Click) means you get paid for every click on the ads and CPM
(Cost Per Thousand) means cost per 1000 impressions which means you get paid for
1000 impressions regardless of the number of clicks.
24. Can i view my ads without clicking them?
Yes. Use this AdSense
preview tool.
25. Can I have Yahoo ads together with AdSense?
Only if they are not on the same page at a time.
26. Can I use AdSense ads on a free domain?
Yes.
27. Do I get an alert when someone clicks on my ads?
No. You must check the Reports tab regularly.
28. Is there any difference between "Ads by Goooooogle" and "Ads by Google"?
No. Google did this to make it more memorable for users.
29. Do I have to open an AdSense Account for each of my websites?
No. Just use your AdSense account for as many sites as you want.
30. How many ads am I allowed to put on a single page?
The maximum is:
3 AdSense Ad Units,
3 AdSense Link Units and
2 AdSense Search Boxes.
In addition to all this you may also place one AdSense for video unit on each webpage.
No Google ad may be placed on any non-content-based pages.
31. May I alter the AdSense code?
Never!
